LuckyPix teams with 20/20 Software to develop online stock photography service
CHICAGO, IL - January 31, 2002 - LuckyPix, the stock photography agency offering a growing collection of serendipitous and unstaged photos, today announced its partnership with 20/20 Software for the creation and maintenance of www.LuckyPix.com.
Using 20/20 Software's proven PsWeb software solution and development team, LuckyPix has been able to roll out two phases of the site quickly and effectively. "LuckyPix is dedicated to creating an online experience that reflects our personable commitment to both our photographers and our customers," said LuckyPix CEO and co-founder William Maday. "We challenged 20/20 Software to meet our high usability and functionality standards, and they quickly exceeded our initial goals."
The initial LuckyPix Web site allowed photographers to submit their most serendipitous images for review. Soon after, LuckyPix announced a major addition in functionality to the site: the ability to view and purchase images from the LuckyPix stock photography catalog.
20/20 Software, having already developed twenty stock photography Web sites, used their proprietary PsWeb software solution to implement the LuckyPix site. "Our work with LuckyPix can truly be called a partnership," said Don Resnick, President of Stamford, CT-based 20/20 Software. "Our developers have worked hard to add sophisticated new features to our web software to facilitate LuckyPix's goals. The success of such work is mutually beneficial."
Beyond implementing the back-end technology for the LuckyPix site, 20/20 Software has provided the stock photography agency with an amazing suite of remote publishing tools (RPT). This RPT allows the LuckyPix staff to handle daily maintenance of the site. Submitted photographs can be reviewed, keyworded, priced, and added to the catalog all behind the scenes.
LuckyPix and 20/20 Software continue to partner in developing future phases of the LuckyPix site.
