PhotoTalk 1 Conference Panel Features LuckyPix CEO William Maday
CHICAGO, IL - January 31, 2002 - LuckyPix CEO William Maday, along with an outstanding panel of industry experts, spoke with a standing room-only audience of photographers at the first annual PhotoTalk 1 conference.
Talking with photographers at "The Art of Buying Photography" seminar, Maday explained the process LuckyPix uses in selecting images for inclusion in their catalogs. "Photographers continue to look for new ways to market their images," said Maday, also a co-founder of the Chicago-based LuckyPix. "LuckyPix is dedicated to finding and selling some of the most amazing, serendipitous photographs available. We can help photographers interested in seeking new avenues for marketing their images."
In addition to Maday, the panel featured JoAn Takamoto, Associate Editor, Ibid Photo; Kim Kubiak, Executive Producer, EuroRSCG McConnaughy Tatham; Joe Gallo, Creative Director, EuroRSCG McConnaughy Tatham; Katrina Wittkamp Photo Editor, Chicago Tribune Magazine; and Sid Hastings, Photo Editor, Sun Publications. The group spoke about a variety of topics pertaining to the business, including legal protections and the future of stock photography.
Organized by the American Society of Picture Professionals, Lab One, and Picture This Projects, the PhotoTalk 1 conference brought together photographers, creative professionals, stock photography agencies, and media agencies to discuss the state of the photography market.
